Who you are:
Mattersight is seeking a Junior Data Scientist who aspires to become a Data Scientist and join our Behavioral & Data Science team. We are looking for more junior individuals who are energized by the prospect of using data to solve real world problems, are comfortable working in an agile and entrepreneurial environment, and will be able to help our company grow.
What you’ll do:
Junior Data Scientists support the Data Science team by conducting research, helping to maintain intellectual property, and executing and fine-tuning existing methodology. In return, the Jr. Data Scientist has direct access to and 1:1 working relationships with Mattersight’s Data Scientists, who will mentor and train them with the goal of strengthening their business and technical skill sets. The goal is for a Jr. Data Scientist to be dubbed a Data Scientist after 2-3 years of strong performance.
The position will be focused on scaling new deliverables and products that are produced by the Data Science team. Primary job responsibilities include:
