Who you are:


A recent college graduate with inquisitive mind and an interest in social sciences looking to join one of Chicago’s “Best and Brightest” companies.


What you’ll do:


Individuals in the Behavioral Science Analyst position are responsible for, but not limited to, the following research and client-related tasks:

  • Code behavior and perform audits to train algorithms to capture key behaviors
  • Use SQL, R, and Excel to analyze and report on behavioral trends
  • Research opportunities for new products and metrics by auditing behavioral samples for consistent patterns
  • Improve internal processes and tools to increase efficiency and spur future product innovation
  • Transform undefined ideas and vague business problems into concrete solutions and strategies 
  • Learn an extensive amount about clients’ business processes through observation and recommend metrics and products that address the client’s concerns/focal areas
  • Expand on core and client-specific behavioral offerings through careful consideration of business value and data analyses
  • Regularly present findings and project summaries to a range of audiences: clients, internal client teams, managers, peers, etc. 

All Behavioral Analytics Analysts receive initial training, followed by division or department specific training over varying lengths of time.  The goal of the Analyst training program is to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to become an integral member of the Behavioral Analytics Service group as quickly as possible. 


What you definitely have:


Mattersight is seeking entry-level candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University.  Coursework of a quantitative or analytical nature is preferred.  This can include, but is not limited to: Business, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Psychology, Sociology and Statistics.
