Responsibilities & Qualifications

Who you are:


A highly motivated cutting-edge Software Developer who wants to nerd out in awesome Austin, TX with our phenomenal Analytics Engine Development team.


What you’ll do:


The Analytics Engine team innovates, designs, builds, and extends data capture and massive data-set analytics components that comprise our ground-breaking Behavioral Analytics product suite.  Software Developers on this team work with many of our core functions: audio and telephony capture, third-party data integrations, speech recognition, transcription and audio processing.


This position will perform support, sustaining engineering, development and testing tasks within C#.  The Mattersight Analytic Engine is a proprietary framework integrating Microsoft’s Orleans.Net running tasks in C# and PHP.   This position requires proficiency in the use of test-driven paradigms for .NET and PHP applications development. The ability to develop n-tier client-server applications that use web server, application server and database engine architectures is highly valued.


What you definitely have:

  • Strong OO programming skills
  • Proven experience in C#
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL
  • Experience in design and development of n-tier applications
  • Experience in modern testing frameworks
  • Experience with modern source control systems such as GIT

What we’d also love to see:

  • Continuous Deployment/Integration
  • Automation technologies (Vagrant, Jenkins)
  • Message queues (especially RabbitMQ)
  • Powershell
  • Docker
  • js
  • Additional languages such as PHP, Java Scala, Ruby, Python
  • CTI (Computer Telephony Integration) experience or exposure
  • Linux or other *nix Operating System
